Taught a short graduate seminar on Global Communication at the Southwest University of Law and Social Sciences, the and School of Journalism Communication, Chongqing, China, December 15, 2018-January 10, 2019.

Served as Purdue-Bayan affiliation director and academic consultant for Bayan College in developing several new degree programs in Communication Studies (Advertising, Broadcasting, Journalism, and Public Relations), Muscat, Oman, 2005-2014.

Established faculty and student exchange agreements with the following universities:

Served as an academic consultant for Abu Dhabi University in establishing the Department of Mass Communication and its degree programs, Abu Dhabi, 2010.

Taught a doctoral-level course, Contemporary International Communication, at the invitation of Center for Culture and Communication Research, Imam Sadegh University, Tehran, summer 1997.

Taught a course, Global Information Flow and the BBC, at Oxford-Brookes University through Purdue University, West Lafayette, Summer Study Abroad Program, International Program, Oxford, England, summer 1996.

At the invitation of the Graduate School of Journalism, The University of Wollongong, Australia, served as an external advisor/examiner for Ali A. Kia’s dissertation, A Review of Journalism in Iran: The Functions of the Press and Traditional Communication Channels in the Constitutional Revolution of Iran, 1995-96.

Under the auspices of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and its Transfer of Knowledge Through Expatriate Nationals (TOKTEN) project, taught a graduate-level course, International Journalism, at the Allameh TabaTaba’e University, summer 1994, Tehran.
